Face masks and lessons

With effect from July 19th the Government steer on face masks has changed, from Law to guidance. Now each business owner can set their own rules and restrictions. The DVSA has advised they will still require face masks for all driving tests.
When it comes to lessons I know there will be differing views and approaches to this by each driving instructor and driving school. I have been an advocate for wearing a face-covering in enclosed spaces like a car where social distancing is not possible since the start of the pandemic, and this remains a simple and effective measure to help protect me and all my pupils.
There is a lot of talk about freedom and getting 'back to normal', and that is what we all want, but it's not as simple as that. As a vulnerable person myself I need to protect the ongoing health of both myself and all my pupils, so my decision is that all lessons will still be conducted while wearing a face-covering by myself and my pupil.
So if you are one of my pupils please ensure you turn up for your lessons prepared to wear a face covering.
